Assalamualaikum Dear Muslim Kids!
Did you know, Allah (ﷻ) and the Prophet (ﷺ) have emphasised upon the importance of family and being kind to them many times? It’s true! And what better time to take care of your family, than the special month of Ramadan!
That’s right. The most special time of the year is here and you can make it even more special by planning some fun activities for your family. Get your younger siblings involved and give Mom some relief as well!
Help your parents prepare food for iftar or suhoor. Look up easy recipes online, make a list of groceries, collect them all and get cooking. Let Mom put her feet up afterwards and divide clean up chores amongst you and your siblings.
Plan some quiet time. Gather everyone and read the Quran together. Feel the blessings of Allah (ﷻ) rain down on your home.
Watch our Ramadan Moon program together. This one HAS to be a family affair!
Design a Good Deeds jar using recyclable material. Add simple good deed ideas in. Let one person draw one good deed every day and do it together.
Go for Taraweeh together and enjoy the communal prayers at your local masjid.
Allah (ﷻ) tells us in the Quran,
“And enjoin prayer upon your family [and people] and be steadfast therein.”[20:132]
May Allah (ﷻ) bless you and your family with a beautiful Ramadan!
Aameen.
