Master your Salah

Dear MuslimKids,

Assalamualaikum!

Allah (ﷻ) tells us in the Quran,

“Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.” [20:14]

Today we are sharing with you our Seven TOP SECRET tips & tricks to help you focus in your Salah and become a super worshipper who's a friend of Allah (ﷻ).

Seek The Quiet

To make sure you can focus on your Salah properly, find a quiet corner or room of the house, away from noise, and start your prayers.

Pray Slowly

Now that you have the quiet, pray slowly, emphasising on each word to really connect with Allah (ﷻ) and be heard by Him (ﷻ).

Hide Distractions

To improve your concentration, try to remove things that can distract you like screens, an interesting looking book or even that plate of biryani, from the area where you’re praying. This way you will be able to ignore everything else and taste the real sweetness of Salah.

Learn Longer Surahs

Try to learn different surahs from juz Amma and practice them in your Salah. When you’re focusing on the words, chances are you won’t be distracted by other thoughts.

Be an Imam of your House

Once you've got the hang of focusing, rush to give Adhan and Iqamah at prayer times and be an Imam of your house by leading your family in prayers. Your brain will automatically help you concentrate when you are praying out loud.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Allah (ﷻ) continues to look upon His slave while he is praying, so long as he does not turn away…”

Stay Clean

Wudu is cleansing of the body and Salah is the purification of the soul. Staying neat and clean will make it easy for you to be ready for Salah at the drop of a hat!

Did you know? Angels love coming close to a clean person as they recite Quran during their Salah.

Make Dua!

A really special one that Prophet Ibrahim (as) made that to this day we say in our Salah.

Do you know which one we’re talking about?

“My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication. Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established.” [14:41-42]

If a believer’s prayer is sound, then all his deeds will be sound too!

Follow these seven practical tips and see your Salah quality improve InshaAllah!
